My workload dictates this. If it is high, it can be up to 3 weeks. If it is low, it can be about a week. I can accept urgent work at 30% surcharge. This is because you are jumping the queue ahead of other customers who have given me plently of notice. It also goes into my stress management fund! It's only me here sewing, so please be patient.
How long is a piece of string? Pricing is determined by the amount of work involved and that is so hard to tell without seeing the garment or project. I can give you a range but please don't hold me to it as I see things that the untrained eye doesn't.
I make the covers. The foam must be provided by you and I suggest https://www.clarkrubber.com.au/
I have no affiliation with them but they have such a large range of foam and they cut it to size. I can help with choosing the right fabric and the right amount. I can help with trims and finishes. I can discuss size and shape. Costs depend on the amount of work required for each cushion. A small throw cushion cover starts at $45 all the way up to walled cushions with piping which I can price up for you - no obligation.
If you are looking for upholstery, I can recommend Spotlight and Clark Rubber and Warwick Fabrics. For clothing, I recommend Spotlight, Tessuti, Remnant Warehouse and The Fabric Store. These are the ones I use but there are many more out there.

I can source fabric for you.
A seam allowance is the amount of fabric between the edge of the fabric and the stitching line. It is usually 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch and allows for the fabric to be sewn together and finished without fraying.
A pattern is a template used to cut fabric pieces to a specific shape and size for a sewing project.
I can't control what you pay for your clothing. Whether it be $20 or $200. I will do the best work I can on your garment, regardless of what you have paid for it. With my sewing, your garment will be wearable for years to come.
I have seen all body shapes and sizes! I have my issues too. Off the rack clothing fits only a few body types and I like to think I help people become more confident through good fitting clothing. Your body is your temple and I treat you respectfully and with dignity. I always have a cup of tea and a story ready!
Yes! It's one of my favourite things to do. Men's suits are tailored in such a way to last a life time (knowing that men often only buy 2 to 3 suits in a life time).
I research the garment or item, it's history and composition and I take it from there, finding genuine threads and treatments. This can be a meticulous process but I work with you and your attachment to the item.
Not at all! I only hope that you get what you need from it so you can find a solution that works for you. The booking fee in this case is kept by YLS to cover time.
I take pride in my work and want to dedicate my skills to the customers that have made bookings without interruptions. This is so customers receive the best customer service uninterrupted.
I would hope you would bring it back in and give me the chance to keep working on it until you are happy. This is only applicable if I have not completed the work satisfactorily according to the original agreement. If that is the case, I do not charge for the rework. If further work is required, the there are additional costs. When bringing in your work, you will recieve a detailed outline of your request so as to avoid any confusion.
Square transaction fees are 2.2%. As a small business, I am transparent about this charge. I don't hide it in other costs.
