Who is YLS?

I am a one person workshop, please bear with me while I juggle a few spools of thread!

I learnt to sew from my “wartime” Nanna in London. She often said to me that if she didn't sew it or grow it, they had no clothing and nothing to eat!
Later in my sewing journey, I attended sewing schools, workshops and observed those very skilled in their craft.

Here at Your Local Sewist, we pride ourselves on quality work and service. The skill of sewing, dressmaking and tailoring takes years to learn and perfect and involves a great deal of detail from inception to creation. All of this takes time.
